The First Psychic to Take the Stand
Contrary to popular culture, psychics don't just sit in dark rooms with crystal balls throwing out generalised statements until their querent gives them the information they need to provide a convincing reading.
There are some amazingly talented mediums and psychics out there who not only have incredible connections to source, but use those connections to help solve crime and bring families peace.
It's not as exciting as popular show Medium would have you believe, however Allison Dubois's story is not unique.
Rosemarie Kerr is one such example. She was the first psychic to be placed on a witness stand, when she gave evidence in 1988 for the 1987 murder of Andre Daigle.
Rosemarie was engaged by Andre's sister after he went missing. Rosemarie, who lived in California and had never before been to New Orleans, used a photo of Andre and a map of the state to connect with his soul and provide information as to his whereabouts. She gave specific information about where his body would be found (in a New Orleans swamp), where his missing truck was located (which ended up being the town police located the truck with the killers inside!), and the appearance of one of his killers - all information which ultimately led to his body being recovered and his killers found and sentenced.
There is still a great deal of resistance to using psychics in conjunction with law enforcement, however a talented psychic can be a useful resource when investigations are proving challenging or have gone cold.
