How often should you get a reading?

While it seems contrary to my own interests, there are times I’ve turned down readings - in particular when a client has had a reading recently by myself or someone else.

This is why I advise my clients NOT to get a reading more than once a year:

A good reader will give you a snapshot of the next 12 months and address the major themes and energies - it is unlikely another reading will reveal anything else UNLESS there has been a major and sudden change in circumstances since the last reading.

It’s important for your soul growth and development to live the human experience. We are higher beings learning how to be human, not the other way around. It’s an important ethical duty of a reader to ensure they don’t encourage or manipulate a reliance in their clients on their frequent guidance. An important aspect of being human is learning to navigate the unknown and connect to our own inner knowing to navigate decisions.

Unfortunately, there are many predatory readers out there who are happy to give repeat readings or instil fear and anxiety just to make some money. Some may advise that you need more sessions for all sorts of reasons - to remove curses, or demons, or to learn how to meditate. It’s all upselling and it’s all bs. A good reader will not instil fear, and they will leave time at the end of the reading to give guidance and tips on how to implement the guidance they have channelled - they won’t read for you and then tell you to come back again for help to implement Spirit’s advice.

Of course, there is always the odd exception. If you have had a recent reading and you’re not sure if it’s appropriate to have another one - feel free to simply reach out and ask!

A sign of a good reader is one that is comfortable turning down a reading when it’s in the clients best interest to do so!
